How many tins do I need?
Coverage is roughly 24 sq ft of building footprint per litre, with a two-coat allowance built in. This is a package estimate, not a measurement of wall surface area. The Build studio calculates the tin combination for your size; timber absorption and condition affect actual coverage.
How do I prepare the timber?
The timber must be clean and fully dry. Check compatibility with any existing coating and follow the instructions on the tin for preparation, temperature and a suitable dry-weather window. Try a small area first to check the finish.
How many coats?
Two coats recommended. The tin calculator already accounts for two-coat coverage.
How long does it last?
Exposure, preparation and the timber surface affect how the finish weathers. Inspect it regularly and refresh when needed rather than relying on a fixed repaint date. Follow the product maintenance instructions.
Can I return unused tins?
Unopened tins are returnable within 14 days.
Paint is supplied in tins for you to apply. Painting is not included in the Total Sheds installation service.
