Total Sheds
Last updated: July 2026
Modern slavery — including forced labour, debt bondage and human trafficking — has no place in our business or our supply chain. This statement sets out the steps Total Sheds takes to prevent it.
This statement is published voluntarily in the spirit of section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It is made on behalf of DIY Sheds Ltd, trading as Total Sheds, and covers the most recent financial year and our practices on an ongoing basis.
We manufacture timber and composite garden buildings in the UK — sheds, summer houses, workshops and related outdoor structures — and sell them directly to customers through this website and our West Midlands premises, with delivery and optional installation across mainland UK.
Manufacturing in the UK means the people who build our products work on our own premises, under UK employment law, and are known to us personally.
Our supply chain is short and stable. The principal inputs are sawn and pressure-treated timber, composite cladding components, roofing materials (felt and EPDM rubber), fixings, glazing and paint — bought from established suppliers with whom we hold long-standing trading relationships.
We prefer suppliers based in the UK, and a short supply chain keeps visibility high: we know who supplies us, and we deal with them directly rather than through layers of intermediaries.
Before taking on a new supplier we consider who they are, where they operate and how they source their materials. We favour established businesses with transparent practices, and we treat unusually low prices — the classic symptom of exploited labour — as a red flag rather than a bargain. If we became aware of modern slavery in our supply chain we would cease trading with the supplier concerned and report the matter to the relevant authorities.
Anyone — employee, supplier, customer or member of the public — can raise a concern about slavery or human trafficking in connection with our business, in confidence: telephone 0121 740 0132 or email info@totalsheds.co.uk. Concerns can also be reported to the national Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700.
This statement is reviewed and updated annually, or sooner if our business or supply chain changes materially.
