Roof
16mm nominal tongue-and-groove decking under the roof covering.
A roof covering is only as good as the deck beneath it, so before any felt or EPDM goes on we lay 16mm nominal tongue-and-groove boarding. Jointed like the floor, it gives a flat, gap-free surface for the covering to bond to — no sag, no soft spots, nothing for the roof to telegraph through.
Dimensions
16mm nominal tongue-and-groove roof boards
Roof decking board shown in section — tongue-and-groove.
Before any felt or EPDM goes on, the roof is decked in 16mm nominal tongue-and-groove board — the same jointing method as the floor, giving the covering above a flat, solid base to bond to.
